Trading is halted for the day after NEPSE index declined by
more than 2% in the first day after lockdown was eased.
NEPSE index started off the day 1251.46 points and declined
by 2.02% i.e. 25.41 points to end the day’s trading session at 1226.15 points. The sensitive index
decline by 1.99% and closed at 265.67 points at the end of the day.
The turnover of the day stood at Rs. 104,372,646
(10.43 crores) only achieved through 291 no of transactions and the total no of
shares traded for the day stood at 106,312 shares.
Only 86 companies scripts were traded in the day and out of
them none of the companies gained 83 companies were in the losing side with 3 companies
whose price remained unchanged
Top Losers:
Janautthan Samudayic Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd (JSLBB)
was the top loser for the day as it declined by 22.32% .
Top Turnover
Citizen Investment Trust(CIT)
achieved the highest turnover for the day with latest price of Rs. 2367 per
share
Sectorwise Performance:
The top losing sector among BFIs was Banking sector which
declined by 2.39% i.e. 26.11 points and the least losing sector was Mutual Fund
sector which lost by a meager 0.11%
